In exciting new news, I've added a second Rochester organization to the list of places where my art is consigned: the Rochester Art Center!
I love the art center - I've taught there, attended Open Studio on Saturdays, and walked the galleries on my own or for artist talks. It's lowkey a bucket list item to have my art for sale in their storefront now.
What you'll find there is a little different from the art I have for sale at my other consignment locations. I've stocked some items which are debuting for the first time ever and most are priced in the $10-$30 range as well.
(Listen, I hate the buybuybuy mantra of holiday spending and sales, but if you gotta get stocking stuffers it's ethically better - and more fun! - to buy them from someone local than from Amazon or Walmart. Your $ have more impact and you're NOT going to accidentally duplicate someone else's gift. Sales pitch over.)
Here's a little photo tour of the fun new things:
Mini dinosaurs! I have a whole gaggle of them in different colors.
(pattern from Club Crochet, all handmade by me)
I also have FROGS!!! I recently decided I really like making FROGS!!
And greeting cards, which is a brand new thing I'm trying out. These are 4x5 and blank so you can use them for whatever occasion - or frame them and hang them on your wall (I do that with cards frequently).
In addition to these new-new-new things, I've also stocked some of my earrings, a few planters, and a group of psychedelic mushroom buddies at the Art Center.
And they're in SUCH GOOD COMPANY!!! You guyz, I have an art crush on K Flynn of Mago Studio and some of their ceramics are there, plus Samantha of ChloroCreations has some froggy prints and and and others whose names I am forgetting have beadwork and prints and cards and paintings so you can bring a little of the Art Center home.
