Part of my Southeast Sunset series.
This fiber art painting captures a scene straight from my home turf of southeast Minnesota, familiar to me from driving home along a country highway for years.
Power poles rise above a field and against an empty and changing sky in this snapshot of scenery, made entirely with yarn. Southeast Sunset 3 captures this scene in spring, when the first shoots of grass are turning green but the fields are newly tilled and seeded. This sunset is peach-pink and purple streaked across each other and blending with blue of a night sky. Embroidered greenery marks the edge of a field, with the planter rows clearly visible in the crochet stitches.
This fiber painting is set within a faux wood frame. The frame has wire attached to the back for wall mounting, and a stand so the painting can be displayed on a shelf, table, etc. The painting and frame must stay together, as they are attached as part of the mounting process.
Fiber painting measures 8"x10". With frame, measures 10.5"x12.5".
